Support

I was coaching a woman and she looked at me and said, "Who coaches you? Where do you go for advice?" I looked at her and told her truthfully, "I lean on prayer, intuition, and very few friends."

I have never really had the type of support I've needed. That is one of the downfalls of being strong and capable, people are not apt to see you as someone who needs some help, or guidance. All guidance I have gotten, I have had to seek it out. I have two people in my life that support me greatly. One is a high powered professional always doing her thang, the other is a co-worker who turned out to be someone I could trust with my friendship.

Both these women have strong opinions and are level headed, but most importantly they get me to a great degree, and what they don't get, they wait for it to be revealed, or they just accept me for who I am. I find this to be rare. Most people expect to see themselves in you on some level. They usually reject folk who may not completely hold to the same values as they do. I value very little other than family and friends. Material things are just that things, so I tend not to find too many people who feel comfortable getting to know me on a deeper level.

It is my desire as I pass through this last leg on my journey of life to learn to ask for more support.

Success

What is success? It is being the best you can be everyday. It is setting high standards of conduct and achievement for yourself, then striving to live up to those standards and never settling for anything less. True winners in life are committed to this idea of success.

When I was in the 1oth grade, I wrote an essay about what I thought success meant. I basically said the same as about. I have been successful all my life because I have always held myself to an extremely high standard.

Be committed to being successful.

Desire

Desire is where achievement begins. Without desire capable people fail. With it underdogs win. Weak desire brings forth little of lasting value. Strong desire gives birth to great accomplishments. Be determined to succeed. Desire to win. Then, if you act upon your desire, nothing is beyond your grasp.

This is so true. It is my desire to be the best I can be that has allowed me to realize my goals and dreams.

Desire, dream, achieve!

Personal Awareness

Personal power is achieved by having personal awareness.

As yourself these questions daily:

  1. How am I doing?
  2. How do I feel?
  3. Am I holding any tensions? If so, what are they from?
  4. What do I want to do today?
  5. What have I done today to achieve my goals?
  6. Do I need to clear up any problems in any of my personal or professional relationships?
  7. Do I feel nurtured, cared for, appreciated? If not, what can I do to get these for myself?

You are the only person who can successfully direct and channel your energy. Your resources are your time, your skills and your energy. These are the foundations of personal power.
